I have been doing construction work since I was sixteen. I started in residential construction and spent ten years building new residential homes. While working full-time, I also attended Baker College. I received my Associates Degree in the Applied Science of Construction Technology in 2003. When the economy was in a recession, the residential company I worked for closed down, and I switched to work in commercial construction. While doing this, I learned to be a jack-of-all-trades in demo work, building, remodeling, hardware, and more. I have also worked in facilities management, overseeing utilities, being the first line of repair, and working on remodels and expansions. I am a licensed building contractor in the state of Michigan and I am a CPSI certified playground installer. All this experience has prepared me for the transition to installing playgrounds, splashpads, and site amenities. I really enjoy working outside and building something that brings great joy to students and entire communities.
Steve and I have been friends for 20 years. We love to build things, to problem solve, and to laugh together. We look forward to using our combined skillsets to serve you, and are excited to show you how our team can get your project from start to finish.
I have over 25 years of construction and maintenance experience. Beginning as a teenager, I spent time painting and cutting concrete. In December 1997, I began plumbing, receiving my Journey Plumber License in July 2001. I have extensive experience in new residential, remodel, commercial, and service plumbing. I’ve maintained my license to this day. For the past ten years, I have managed facilities and maintenance for non-profit organizations, on their residential and commercial properties. I assisted with and oversaw several construction projects during this time. My experience has prepared me quite well for installing both playgrounds and splashpads.
Mike and I have talked for years about working together in construction, but it was always more of a dream. The timing and necessary funds didn’t make it a reality. Then, with the government stimulus, we decided to plant this company and see if it would grow. We exist for the sole purpose of using our gifts and talents of working with our hands, to provide others with the help they need to accomplish things outside of their ability. We give back a portion of our profits to non-profit organizations, so when you hire us, you can know that you are benefiting the community, and the world, as well.
